Portrait of Jaiden Henley
Apple Developer Academy (Detroit)

Hello,

I'm an iOS developer from Detroit. I build things I'd actually want to use like games, AI tools, and apps that solve real problems for real people.

About Me

I'm an iOS developer at the Apple Developer Academy in Detroit, where I spend most of my time turning ideas into apps that actually get used.

My projects range from a Belle Isle-inspired SpriteKit game built with a team in 6 weeks to a solo on-device AI tool that converts scanned notes into flashcards. I care about the details. Clean architecture, thoughtful UX, and using Apple’s frameworks the way they were intended. Not because it looks good on paper, but because it makes the end product better.

Detroit shapes a lot of how I think about building. There’s something about this city. The architecture, the Riverwalk, the way it keeps reinventing itself. It pushes you to make things that are real and useful, not just polished demos. That mindset carries into everything I work on.

When I’m not coding I’m gaming, cooking, hitting the gym, or finding a new spot along the Riverwalk to clear my head.
